I've been lucky to have Halina teach me via Skype how to build my own blog.
It worked real well because Halina is very knowledgeable when it comes to various website related products, email systems etc. and so is able to recommend those that are easy to implement and explain the pros and cons of each for me.
I also find that Halina is good at explaining in a non-technical lingo how everythings works and what what I was supposed to do.
I also experienced that Halina knew intuitively what was coming next and where I was or what I couldn't grasp before I even said it. It made our collaboration fun too.
Since this is new to me, I thought it would be important to meet face to face in order for me to learn, but it worked just fine over Skype.
I've learned hos to create a basic website and can now use it. I now understand the fundamental principles and see the potential in it. This was important for me.
Just like it was important to be able to trust the recommendations she gave me with regards to tools, especially making sure that I don't invest into a product or service that makes me dependent on a specific firm or person.
In my experience Halina enjoys working with the technical side of things, knows where to find whatever information is needed and knows how to explain it in a way that is easy to understand. She's good at teaching in a "learning by doing" manner.
Plus I experience her as a very warm and honest person that I trust very much. One of the reasons is that she is and does what she says.
